Lead Scout is a small, focused tool for people who sell by hand. It is built on a simple belief: outreach should start with a real reason, not a filter.
Our mission
Give solo founders, consultants, and small teams a way to find companies that actually need what they sell – and a way to reach the right person with something worth reading. No lists to rent. No sequences to configure. No CRM to feed.
What we believe
- Reason before recipient. Contact companies with a credible, current need – then decide who to reach.
- Evidence over enthusiasm. Every qualification is grounded in dated public sources you can inspect.
- Voice over template. Outreach must sound like the person sending it, or it isn't personal.
- Focus over features. Sequences, dashboards, and CRM administration belong somewhere else.

How we're different from lead databases
The category we compete with – large contact databases and sales-engagement platforms – is optimized for volume. Upload a list, apply filters, push a sequence, measure open rates. That model rewards spraying good people with mediocre messages.

Brian Riback, Founder. 20+ years of experience building customer engagement, CRM, retention, and digital marketing strategies that turn complex business problems into practical growth programs. Lead Scout came out of a simple frustration: the tools we use to reach customers keep getting louder, and the responses keep getting quieter. The fix isn't more volume – it's better evidence and a message that sounds like a person.
The company
Lead Scout is operated by Labrador Solutions, LLC, a small independent software company. We fund the product with subscription revenue, not advertising or data resale. We publish our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service plainly, and we answer questions directly.
